Lost Words

lost-words

The words left,
Just as they came,
Slow and dwindling,
Past the single breeze
Of a half-moon night,
At once in a flurry,
Creeping to a crawl,
Woven through shadows,
Sounds came to call,
until their steps,
slid away,
among the words,
I lost today.
