Food for Thought-The Biblical Hateful 8


In the high mountain passes of Armenia, near the Georgian border, eight strangers were stranded in a lonely inn.  They were the Biblical Hateful Eight.  Were they all who they claimed to be?

1. Thutmose II
He was the Pharaoh during the Exodus. Thutmose was known as a brutal proponent of slave labor camps and massive, fascist architecture.

2. Haman
Grand Vizier of the Persian King Xerses I. In the book of Esther, he planned to kill all the Jews in Persia.

3. Absalom
The son of king David who rebelled against his father and was eventually killed at the battle of Ephraim Wood.

4. Jael
A female assassin (wife of Heber the Kenite) in Judges 4 who kills a general named Sisera by driving a tent peg through his skull.

5. Saul of Tarsus
Saul was brutal killer and executioner of Christians and Jewish non-conformists. A man with a brilliant mind and a cold heart, he disappeared on the road to Damascus.

6. King Nebuchadnezzar
He was Babylonian King who lays waste to Jerusalem and takes the land of Judah into exile. He kills with precision, planning, and totality.

7. King Herod
Herod was a puppet king in Israel at the time of the birth of Jesus. He launches a full scale genocide to try and kill Jesus near the time of his birth.

8. Pontius Pilate
Pilate was the Roman Governor who sentenced Jesus to death.
