Food for Thought-The Sonata

The Sonata

For My Wife

She is the first violin,
so I may be in tune,
she keeps the pace,
for my cello and bassoon,
she finds a beat,
for the 2nd clarinet,
knows when to pause,
and when to rest,
living life in forte,
measure after measure,
chasing the scherzo,
down and around,
grand emotional arpeggios,
until the timpani sounds,
And the baton waves,
the performance ends,
for another day,
Bravo, Bravo,
Bellissima, mi amor,
Will you play, tomorrow?
More.
